Amazing that these speakers are sold so cheaply. This situation will likely be resolved eventually, so buy it while you can at this price point. First, these speakers are ridiculously heavy. you are a beast I replaced a couple of larger Klipsch speakers with these and they easily weigh twice as much. Obviously the weight doesn't necessarily affect the sound quality, but in this case it does. My Klipschs were fantastic bookshelf speakers (no power, amp died so I tried these edifiers instead) but the sound of these edifiers is stunning. Dynamic range, stereo separation, and any other metrics audiophiles use should play a role here, as the clarity and impact of music is more akin to headphones than bookshelf speakers. You simply cannot be disappointed with the sound of these speakers. I challenge you! They also come with some nice extras like a sleek, highly functional remote control and an optical cable (handy for connecting to my DAC). The audio modes (Studio, Dynamic, Classic and Vocal) offer minimal but effective sonic changes, as do the bass and treble controls on the back of the speakers. If someone feels the need to significantly change/shape the frequency response of their speakers, you should consider installing an equalizer or other tonal device (like the Schiit Loki Mini Tone Control Equalizer) between the sound source and the speakers. Nice digital display on the front of the main speaker that confirms remote operation and shows which input you have activated (optical, line 1, line 2 or bluetooth), volume etc. Display, like the rest The design of the speaker is good done - it's clean, not too bright, not obtrusive etc. I can't confirm the durability/longevity of these S2000MKIII speakers as I've only been using them for a few hours.
