Review on πŸš— Metra 40-GM10 GM Vehicle Antenna Adapter by Joel Gumbiner

TIP: Be sure to connect the second blue wire

This kit works perfectly. But there are NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to do this, and a second blue wire is connected to the connector with no indication of what it does or where to connect it. On my 2012 Honda Ridgeline this blue wire MUST be connected to the connector. Remote out line from your main unit (a wire that remotely turns on external amplifiers or controls power antennas). Although it's not at all clear due to lack of instructions, my Honda Ridgeline has an antenna preamp that needs power from the ECU. Otherwise the reception will be terrible. So if you don't have this line connected and your radio reception is unacceptable or worse than the original factory unit, do a little research to see if your Honda has an antenna preamp that needs to be fed through it. this wire.

Pros
  • For some 1988-2006 GM vehicles
Cons
