I have bought several of these mics for low level kick drum, guitar cab and snare mics and am very happy with their performance for the money. I also have more expensive versions of this basic design that are definitely more durable and reliable (less likely to break or wear out). But for my home studio use with little or no touring requirements, they fit perfectly and do their job well. They're strong enough to handle even the heaviest mics I own and have plenty of customization options. I'm happy with the results, but if I had the money to spare I'd prefer the sturdier, high-end touring versions.
