There is a MAJOR design defect in the adapter nuts supplied with the quick coupler. Using a quick change, i.e. welding the hole saw nut to the hole saw, on Freud/Diablo designed hole saws is a great tool and works great. However, if you are using the included adapter nuts on older hole saws and for some reason need to flip the bit (since there are no pins holding the holder saw in place) the adapter nut simply unscrews and the bit stays in place. . If you are using a large hole saw with an adapter nut, DO NOT release the trigger once you have started drilling the pilot hole, as the "flying" motion of the hole saw's weight will allow the drill bit to quickly unscrew and fly out of the hole . adapter nut when you stop the drill which could RESULT IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. This deficiency MUST BE FIXED BY FREUD by somehow adding locking pins to this system.
