I didn't buy this monitor because I thought it would sound *great*, but I bought it in part because it has built-in speakers that I thought I could use. For example, the audio from the tiny speakers in my laptop is acceptable, so the BenQ should be able to get decent audio from this monitor. However, the sound quality is SHOCKING - tinny and distorted. So much so that I'll be forced to use external speakers or headphones. It really is that bad - terrible.
