Falsely sewn appliques
Charming dress. But I washed it on the gentle cycle (before my granddaughter even wore it) and some of the appliqués were falling off the edges. They, of course, had to be sewn on all sides, but the applique did not fit the line. I could fix it with a needle and thread, but I didn't have to do it for a new dress. I couldn't use it without repairing it. It just looked shabby.
