I was raised by a German father who taught us not to take a bath every day (except for dirty work or sweating a lot) to avoid the natural oils in the bath to disturb skin. Skin that protects you (this worked for me). This product doesn't let the smell out of my armpits completely for a week (I was on a hike without a chance to shower. My husband started smelling but I didn't). It lasts a whole year for me - you have to massage it in carefully in a very small stroke.
