Review on πŸŒ€ STANLEY Wet/Dry Vacuum SL18115: Powerful 4HP Shop Vacuum with 5-Gallon Stainless Steel Tank - Perfect for Home, Shop, and Jobsite Dust Collection by George Hersey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great product - look at the comment on the spare bags.

Strong suction power, light weight, well thought-out design and user-friendliness. Useful, comfortable equipment. A few more notes: 1. If you pull the vacuum cleaner by the hose, it won't fall down. This is a sign of good design.2. The operating instructions do not state when or whether the supplied large paper vacuum bag should be used. Instead, you can suck into the tank, but there are issues with that. I suggest you use a large bag to soak up any dry dirt and debris. The first time I used it I didn't, a real mistake. The cloth filter bag above the motor immediately filled and clogged with fine dust and the vacuum cleaner motor started to work. It took me a while to knock out the cloth bag and get rid of the dust. Then I installed a large paper vacuum bag. Better late than never.3. The illustrations in the manual are poor and sparse. Example: No comment on how to fit a large paper vacuum bag over the inlet port. Should be obvious right? no It's too easy to make a mistake by only partially fitting the neck of the bag onto the opening of the inlet.4. Replacement bags are not available. No longer available here at Revain or anywhere else online. Major hardware store chains claim to sell "universal bags" but the ones I've found don't match this Stanley. Would you like bags? You need to call Alton Industries, Stanley's parent company. There you pay a premium price and rather high shipping and handling fees.
