Holds onto hair dryer very well. My husband put mine on the back of his phone and I put mine on the back of my phone case. The magnet was so strong that when the phone was removed from the case, the magnet detached and stuck to the magnetic mount in the car. The reason I didn't attach it to my phone is because the wireless charger stopped working with the magnet on the back of the phone. But compared to a vent magnet, it's great - in winter, your phone will get hot when traveling. So this dashboard is perfect! would buy again
