I'm new to using "Pro-Gear" and thought I could get by cheaper with HDMI->Cat6 converters and if that didn't work just use cheap BNC cables from mono price . None of them worked and after 40 seconds of research it turned out that HD-SDI has such a high bandwidth that longer BNC cables have to be specialized for the task. They work and are guaranteed to work, plus they are cheaper. than competitors at 80 cents a foot. They are also equipped with a large Velcro strap. The only complaint that's not too big is that they're pretty rigid in their construction.
