I rarely use make-up because I've never been able to apply foundation evenly. These sponges are very helpful. I dip the sponge in water and squeeze out the excess water before dipping it into the foundation. It absorbs just the right amount and applies foundation to my face flawlessly. They are soft and have just the perfect hardness. However, I found that removing the entire base was not that easy no matter how many times I popped it out. The sponge started to tear after the first cleaning because of too much squeezing. So now I don't press as hard when I brush it. I will replace it when it gets too dirty as there are 10 in the pack.
