Dyson's own filter is not listed on their website so I ordered this replacement filter from Revain.com. The part number is identical to the Dyson number. However, the device does not recognize this filter. Loud tone and blink code does not change the need to use a filter. For this reason, I strongly advise against buying a Dyson air purifier. I can understand Dyson trying to discourage customers from buying third party parts at 1/8th their own price. However, if the original replacement filter is permanently unavailable, this leaves Dyson vulnerable. Since their air purifiers don't get high reviews on tech sites, I wouldn't buy another or any other Dyson product for that matter. There are many other brands at a lower price. "Cool" design is not enough if the device will stop working in a year. I buy these products primarily because of their function, not their looks.
