I tried to hack the case and failed THEN I watched the video and found the secret to unlock the perimeter. The project is really easy and in just a few minutes I replaced both fans in my Acer Predator gaming laptop. Usually it's a dust issue that stops the fans, in my case I'm not sure why one failed completely and the other barely rotated. The bearings are probably defective. Anyway, note: it helps to have two sizes of magnetic Phillips screwdrivers, one of which is very small for hard drive screws.
