My 2005 Gmc Yukon XL Denali Z55 was recently upgraded to traditional shocks with a Bilstein HD 4600. The Bilstein ride was rough due to a lot of bumps in the road (internal tremors). . I live in New York, so potholes and bumps vibrate in the cabin. The Bilstein shocks weren't very good at absorbing those bumps, but they offered better control. Today I installed ACDelco 540-201 shocks and left Bilstein in the rear. Handling has improved a lot, but I'll admit it's a bit invigorating on some bumps. I think the compromise is worth it as I prefer a softer ride. I would suggest buying these shocks and matching rear wheels if you want a nice OEM ride.
