These are good pillowcases in all respects, even softer and more comfortable. However, I wouldn't call them waterproof, and even waterproof. They were used immediately upon arrival and fit well in the room even with a well-filled pillow. and they didn't seem to be holding their breath too much. However, when I had to change the sheets after 10 hours, liquid got into a small area and it just got soaked, and the pillow got very wet. It was fresh out of the box so cannot be held responsible for improper washing or a damaged pillowcase. I should have been warned and tested first, but fact is that for once there were no air pockets on the cushion as I said and you would expect a small amount if it's truly waterproof.
