I've been looking for soapberry liquid detergent for years because the muslin bags of soapberry chunks I've been using for almost a decade are finally getting on my nerves — I'm tired of untying the knots in my shoelaces to tie them replace berries. This is 1-2 pumps in the detergent compartment of your washing machine. I have no idea of this thing's ability to fight stains, but clothes come out clean and smell of NOTHING. no smell. unless you consider "clothes" a fragrance I guess. Works great in 1-2 pump HE washers but be aware that there will be slippage/leakage making the bottle slippery and leaving a small ring wherever you put it. I wouldn't leave this in the dryer or anything, maybe a plastic shelf or box on the shelf would be fine. The pump itself only leaks if you shake the bottle, for example, so that part of the pump pumps faster, the drops come out. It's probably just a bad ball valve in what I got, but fair warning!
