Review on 🔌 Tech Wash by Nikwax by Kris Wagner

I have a couple of older more expensive North Face tents that I wanted to replace as they are 15 years old and smelled musty and the fabric felt stiffer and more durable. worn. Given the price of quality tents, I was a little hesitant to throw them away and buy new ones, and also worried that today's high-end tent might not be built as well as a 15-year-old tent. After reading online about washing tents I settled on Nikwax Tech Wash which is highly recommended for washing tents, backpacks and other outdoor gear. I hand washed each tent and fly separately in a kitchen sink in warm water with 100ml of this soap and then rinsed and repeated this about 3 times before hanging to dry in the garden. There was minimal suds and the soap appears to be very effective but also gentle on the tents and their waterproofing. I'm very happy with the results - the smell is gone, the fabric is more elastic and all the zippers work more smoothly. New life has been breathed into my tents and I have about 3/4 of a bottle left for future laundry needs.
