Review on πŸ’« Samsung 27-inch Curved FreeSync Monitor with 1920x1080p Resolution and 75Hz Refresh Rate, Model LC27T550FDNXZA by Ryan Gallion

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very smooth, incredible clarity and decent sound.

I bought this monitor for my Lenovo X1 Carbon. I didn't want my computer plugged into a charger, so I bought a USB-C hub (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X5KSBNJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and used it to connect. I power the hub with a cell phone charger and that's enough to power my laptop. The hub doesn't appear to be compatible with Lenovo due to power issues, but I bypassed it with a charger as it has a Thunderbolt port. I read one of the Q&A's that says the speakers won't work unless you connect them directly via HDMI and this doesn't apply in my case. As far as reliability goes, time will tell, but other than the fact that the base needed a bit of lube to attach, I haven't had any issues. The screw at the base of the stand was easily tightened with ether.

Pros
  • I like it except for the speakers
Cons
  • Didn't work well with my system. The curve was a bit extreme for my taste
