Review on Royal Designs CO 5001D SL 8 2 Rayon Cord by Charlie Wilson

I bought these cords to replace an old cord in my bedroom table lamp. Measured and it took 29-30 inches of cord to run through a small 28 inch long brass tube to an outlet and connect properly. Most of the cables I looked at indicated that the distance between the bare end of the cable and the switch was too short. The item's description said it was 30 inches from the switch to the end of the cord. That's why I bought it. The cable I received was under 28 inches. I couldn't reach the outlet. The wire ended up coiling a 4 inch extension to make it work. I also had to remove the outer fabric insulation (nylon?) because it ripped off trying to fish out the lamp. Very frustrating. Turned a simple job into a royal pain in the neck.
