Review on Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens - Optimized for Canon EOS SLR Cameras by Adisorn Khamkon ᠌

Not my best purchase, you could have found something else.

I took it to replace the whale 55-250, I saved it with its versatility when traveling (at that time it was 60d - an excellent bunch, on the current mark3 with this on board it's a little ashamed, so I sold it). Street photo of an acceptable level. For portraits and scenes, there is nothing better than fixes, shooting portraits with this lens, you are unlikely to be satisfied with the result obtained in the end. Animals, birds to shoot - it's the most. It makes no sense to zoom further than 250, these 50/80 (ok) mm are not clear for what, it lathers, smears, catches something else and quite a lot of contrast noise, which is quite problematic to pull out, you yourself understand why, you can forget about the sharpness of the frame after similar procedures. For this money - quite a working sample. It is recommended for lovers to buy, I would not take it for any money, alas)

Pros
  • Good universal telephoto focal lengths. Fast focusing, ultrasonic does its job, but with a small flu, of course. In dark and dimly lit rooms or in the evening, the focus begins to dull a little, not critical, given the stub, the shutter speed increases to half a second and everything is normal in general. Double stabilizer is a definite plus for this glass, without it it would be game Very good things are drawn by this daring fellow with sufficient practice and shooting skills on such fr
Cons
  • at the glass for a speck? They are not, and not the segment at all to pull out. If you want a more serious toy - white elks to help, there you can complain and be dissatisfied, for such a sum. The only thing is, check the lens on your camera for backs and fronts, many on the forums complained that some of the glasses out of the box had a shot down af, this is important to consider so that later there is no trouble with delivering it to the service.

Pros: Sharpness, stub, bokeh - excellent! Dimensions can also be attributed to the advantages, and at the same time a low price, with such quality. Has some cons All the same, there is a backlash of the leaving part, it’s somehow uncomfortable . And at the same time there is an assumption - you need to protect it from dust

The best inexpensive canon telephoto lens. Better than the second version and even 70-200L (no stub)
