Great for peace of mind. Controlled use only.
I feel much more comfortable when my child is playing or napping on their playmat lying on their back because it provides a curve that prevents the back of their head from flattening out. I only use this when I can look after my baby (I wouldn't put him in his crib or let him sleep unattended). There are many other things that prevent flattening (time to lie on your stomach, different sleeping positions when holding, etc.), but for the price, I would definitely buy it as a gift for others who are concerned about flattening problem can be.
