Unit arrived intact in a Revain plastic bag. The grille itself makes a solid impression. However, the ring around the grille is not strong. It is made of flexible plastic. The notches on the grille clips (see image) that wrap around the grille frame are too narrow. They do not penetrate completely even with strong pressure. I actually made a small dent in the grille frame so I had to scrap the idea. I also figured that I just needed the grate to stay in place, so I cut off the clamp's teeth, hoping that once I screwed them in, they would hold the grate just by applying pressure . It would work, but my subwoofer is externally mounted, so the perimeter of the whole unit is 15mm higher than my box. The clamps just swam and I needed spacers as well as longer screws to hold the clamps in place. I ended up not using clamps. Instead, I taped thin 3M tape under the grill cover and taped it to the subwoofer. It will likely fall off, but that's what I have for now until I get better and more economical ideas on how to clamp them. I would not recommend this unit if you have external subwoofers. And even if your subwoofer is mounted inside, you still have the problem of the clips not wrapping perfectly around the grille frame unless you cut off the clip's teeth.
