Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Stay Cool with the Sharper Image SBS2-SI Medium USB Fan: Soft Blade Technology, Touch Control, Quiet Operation, 3 Adjustable Speeds, Black/Walnut Design by Jill Williams

Works well, looks good, buttons are dingy, UV-5R support!

Beautiful fan. My face is warmed by the searing glow of my 1080p 165Hz monitor and the heat of my gaming PC, slowly roasting me from the inside to the consistency of mashed potatoes. This fan helps counteract this and provides noticeable relief. I typically use the lowest settings, which are quiet and unobtrusive when gaming, but still deliver smooth airflow. I chose this fan for aesthetic reasons and it feels good in person. Everything is plastic but looks expensive. I love having a reflective dome on the front of the fan where I can see the reflection of the pale, fragile shell of someone sitting in a chair for hours, studying, writing, consuming media, playing games and otherwise accomplishing little like I was slowly withering away in the shell of his formal 'I'. I also appreciate that the seller integrated a power outlet into the USB wall adapter so you can use this fan on a standard USB port or by plugging it into the wall. Even if you don't plan on using it on a wall, you'll never have too many wall warts. It usually takes several attempts to press a key. It's a capacitive button like a touchscreen, but the sensor is large, requiring you to use your thumb or forcefully press the top of the fan until it fires. One nice thing is that the designers seem to have included a great feature: ham radio support! When I'm transmitting with my 5W UV-5R ham radio (an adult walkie-talkie, in layman's terms), I can point the radio's antenna at this fan and it will push a button! No more fumbling with fan blades looking for a capacitive button and praying to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that my finger will be seen by preconceived and complacent schemes. Instead, I can just say my callsign on 440MHz and the fan will start working! Too fast? Just press the talk button again and it will slow down. Does it have to stop? Just pass until he gives his unholy spin. This kind of standard feature is exactly what more engineers need to implement in their products. I recommend this fan!
