UPDATE: Received in March. It is now May 30th and the fan has stopped working. Big disappointment. I chose this laptop table because it is simply beautiful! I found it didn't meet my needs and am returning it. The table is just as beautiful in person as it is online! If you're a regular sitter in your bed or on the floor, this might be perfect for you. As for using it on your lap or on a table, it's just not comfortable or impossible. The laptop table is very heavy to put on your lap. I contacted the seller about this and they replied that they do not recommend using it on the lap at all. For me, this is a big shortcoming and robs the functionality that similar designs have. IF you need it, don't buy this laptop desk. Every time you stand up the legs fall out from under the table and if you try to fold them back they get caught on the string, your fingers or even the tree itself (nothing moves smoothly). When used on a table, if the legs are folded under the device, the metal safety bracket will scratch the table. If the legs are used and locked, your laptop is too big for use (but that's fine if you want to use an external keyboard and mouse). A laptop table is great for use on the bed. It holds its position well and is comfortable to work in. Most people work in bed for maybe an hour - at $40 an hour it's not worth the occasional use for me. The drawer is great for storing cookies when not in use, but I can't open it. The seller says I just have to make an effort, I did it and it opened but it took the same effort to close it again. I've literally got my fingers caught with parts of this laptop desk at least 5 times. Another drawback is the connection cable. It's length is 3 feet, so it'll cling to anything. I'm not sure why you would need a 3ft cable to connect a laptop standing directly on a table. One star for its beauty as it's quite cute. One star for the functionality of the bed or floor. I just wish it was more functional for circles or tables.
