Review on Lian Li SL120 Pack White by Ryan Larson

Fewer cables, more air and lighting effects

I bought these primarily for RGB lighting, but the fewer cables were just an added bonus. It's worth it if you have a lot of fans in your case. You can daisy chain 4 of these fans into an array and connect them as a kit to the included fan and RGB controller hub. A total of 4 fan sets can be connected. Up to 16 total fans on one hub. The hub connects to the motherboard with a USB 2.0 connector and a SATA connector for power. Another notable feature of these devices is that whether the fans are bi-directional or not, you don't have to sacrifice any lighting effect as RGB lighting is included. frames, not blades. The software is quite intuitive with many interesting effects. The performance looked impressive, and even the static pressure was pretty close to the heatsink fans Lian Li installs on his AIO; Galahad, so I tested them on ID-Cooling's SE-224-XT air cooler, which is a stunning little 155m tall AIO. 700-1800 RPM Fan Airflow: 76.16 cfm (max.) Fan Noise: 15.2-32.5 dB Air Pressure 2.54mm WS Art. max airflow 58.54 cfm (maximum) Fan noise: 17.0-31.0 dBA3700X at rated hours and 25.5°C ambient temperature. Temperatures were monitored after running WPrime for 1024M and the readings collected in the chart are from HWInfo64. Sensors are reset after each run with a 1 minute cool down period between each test. Comparison of results is attached. The standard fan outperformed Lian Li at 50% and 75% rotation speed, but note that the standard fan's rotation speed was higher than that of Lian Li. At full speed, both were equal in performance. However, Lian Li was impressively quiet compared to the standard fan. Verdict: These are amazing fans in every way: lighting, airflow, aesthetics. Look for these and not other overpriced RGB fans.
