The first few times the trunk extends too quickly. At first it was not so easy to understand how to install. It says just pull out the clip and remove; but there is so much dirt on the old unit that I couldn't figure out where the clamp was and then when I found it I couldn't see the ceiling to insert the end of the screwdriver to pry it out. Sorry I didn't take any photos, but you can watch a YouTube video that shows a close-up of the clip. I took them both off, forgetting that as an inexperienced repairwoman I don't know which way to put them. One head is bigger than the other, so it should only move in one direction. You can fit the larger end onto the smaller head, then the other end won't fit and you'll have to pry the clip on and off again. I am a 58 year old young woman and I found out. Saved me a lot of money.
