Review on GELID GC-Extreme 3.5g with Tooling: Ultimate Thermal Conductive Paste for Heatsink, High Performance, Easy Application by Mike Castro

This thermal paste is very viscous. I put it in a plastic bag and a bowl of hot water for easier and more even application. I used it on an i5-3570k where Ivybridge gets very hot when overclocked. I ran temps at 82-86c at 4.5GHz which I think is too high and I used Mx-4. Don't get me wrong, this is a great thermal paste, but not great for overclocking a CPU. That's why I've been researching and reading so many people talking about GC extremes. Now, mind you, this paste is thick. Now that I've applied the paste and set my overclock to 4.5GHz, my temperature has dropped by literally 15-19 degrees. This is crazy about thermal paste! at full load my temperature is 67-72 degrees Celsius, depending on which stress test I run. I know it's just stunning. Now I have a 240mm wheel that I use (Enermax) so the temp will depend on what cooling option you have but I swear I will buy this product and never use any other thermal paste ever again. The price is excellent - 3.5 grams. Trust me, the delivery came quickly. it took 3 days to receive it. Hope this review helps. Remember this thermal paste is thick so heat it up before applying, trust me!
