Flakey - I've had this for about a year and ended up having to replace it. The ethernet connection on my 2016 MBP has always sucked; It usually takes two or three attempts to insert and remove before the adapter is recognized (even if the HDMI connection works fine). Gradually it got to the point where I had to "pull the connection" and finally stopped working completely. I suspect that the problem is with the Type-C port. It also always got really hot - I'm sure it would be a battery killer if I didn't use it on my desk with shore power all the time. I replaced it with a Getlink USB-C Multiport Adapter and am happy with it. USB C Hub, Getlink USB-C to HDMI 4K Multiport, 2x USB3.0, Card Reader, USB C Power Delivery and Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (Silver)
