Review on 📷 Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 14.1 MP Waterproof Camera - Orange, with Optical Image Stabilization and LCD Display by Justin Wallace

So far I am happy with the DMC-TS2. Like anyone who buys a waterproof camera, I decided to find out right away how durable it really is. I started with a beautiful sunset on Lake Ontario. I set the camera right on the rocks as the waves rolled in. My pants got a bit wet, the camera took some very good shots and survived to shoot another day! My next trip was rafting on the Salmon River. I attached the camera to my life jacket with a carabiner and grabbed the paddle. Image stability worked pretty well. I got some good shots of the approaching rapids and fired one handed as I was thrown onto the raft. On the second pass, our fearless captain decided to turn back on the opposite rapid. I was thrown out of the boat, thrown down the river, I jumped from stone to stone. We took the camera with us a bit. After being towed back onto the raft (and having my lungs cleaned), I immediately turned on my camera and snapped a few photos. The camera is definitely waterproof and shockproof! Just don't forget to wipe the lens, otherwise you will have distortion from water droplets. I'm not very happy with low light photos. TS2 offers a starry sky mode with a shutter speed of 15 or 30 seconds. Just don't expect it to come close to the SLR. I did a direct comparison with my Nikon D5000 and you can guess the results. The camera is FAST for P&S. Fast autofocus and short shutter lag are key to photographing children quickly and easily. My wife loves it because, as she says, it is "easy to use and takes a picture when I want it to." Picture quality is good. What I like most about the camera, as they say, "The best camera is the one with you." You can take it anywhere! We move on to the next task - climbing in the Keen Valley. ADK here I come! You should get some good shots of the stone wall :)
