Tram makes two discons. 1411 has one pin and two longer radials while 1410 has no pin and has same size radials. Which do you choose? How As you can see from the pictures I have both I chose 1410 instead of 1411 because it doesn't have a pin that would interfere with the antenna above it by overlapping I use it with a Uniden SDS100 scanner and I receive AM traffic at the airport, my local trunked radio system, APCO's 700MHz trunked network for law enforcement and UHF/VHF emergency response I have also used it to transmit on 2m and 70cm The antenna is a steal over others of its kind it still makes more impressive. My 1411 is on the opposite side of the house and is used to transmit from a HT ham radio. Why on the opposite side of the house? There are times n where I either have to use my radio transmitter as a repeater or transmit on two nearby frequencies simultaneously. ip on disk offers much better SWR than unpinned, so I use one with a pin for transmission and one without a pin for my scanner.
