I wanted to have more cartilage piercings but didn't want to spend money at a piercing shop as they usually cost at least $20 per piercing. Upon arrival, all needles were individually wrapped. The tips of the needles were covered with plastic tubing to prevent puncture of the packaging and to remain sterile. One of my friends (a tattoo artist) helped me with the piercing. I would recommend getting one of these ear pliers to hold the ear and guide the needle. The process was really easy and quick. You only feel initial pain when your skin is punctured. Before pulling the needle, an earring was inserted into the end of the needle. Then it was pulled through my ear. I have no problems with my piercings with these needles. Make sure to have the piercing done after leaving, however, to make sure it doesn't become infected. These needles are great for the price. Just make sure you have someone you trust with a firm hand to help you through the piercing.
