Review on WD Caviar Green 1.5TB SATA Intellipower Hard Drive with 32MB Cache (Bulk/OEM) for Desktop - WD15EADS by Patrick Lets

I have been a computer engineer for over 30 years and have always used and recommended Western Digital discs to others. And this particular drive will be no exception. The packaging is well thought out and protects the drive just like the retail box. Antistatic bags and plastic end caps keep the drive centered in the interior. These are OEM wheels so other items are not included. Make sure you have SATA adapters handy for data transfer and a power cable for a quick setup. These drives were purchased for use in my NAS RAID. I thought about buying 4 x 1TB drives but they came along and I got the same capacity but one less physical drive. The SATA controller running the RAID only runs at SATA-I speed, so you must ensure that a jumper is set on the options box for the drive to run at that speed. Note that the drive has NO jumpers, so make sure you have some if you need to set it up to operate in SATA I mode. Overall this is a great drive for the price. Save energy and save money. Although the warranty is only 1 year, I've only had a few WD drives out of the dozens I have (many of which have worked 24/7) and then only after at least 5-6 years. Great offer. Don't pass by!
