Review on Enhanced Gaming Experience with ASUS Gaming VG27AQ Monitor Renewed: Adjustable Height, Blue Light Filter, Built-In Speakers, HD by Dusty Colton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not the best monitor.

Despite the 3-star rating, I really like the monitor. I was not disappointed with my purchase, I want this to be known. - CONS - The first issue I have with the monitor is its compatibility with most Vesa mounts I've used/seen. Use the same system with two parts, the part that goes to your monitor and then your arm. You have to put the piece on your monitor and then put the monitor on your hand. This monitor can't even do that with standoffs, the back of the monitor has too much angle to slide on the bracket. I got around this by putting the part on the bracket before attaching it to the monitor, but that's purely a design issue that could be fixed. The second issue I had with this monitor is the display itself, the panel seems tightly set and each corner of the screen has a distinct orange cast. The third problem is partly due to my error of not examining the monitor properly, but you can't use high refresh rate and HDR, at the same time it gets stuck at 60Hz when you want to use HDR. It's not mentioned anywhere on the list, and it's a little frustrating, but whatever it is - Pros - The monitor I received was a great color except for the orange corners. - Monitor control is easy. using a joystick mixed with buttons to navigate. The monitor is very color neutral and adapts to pretty much any environment. Information that did not affect my rating. The monitor becomes very hot and feels very warm. The bezels are a bit thicker compared to my main monitor (ACER Predator XB272), but the bottom bezel is thinner overall, although the bezel is nice.
