The belt buckle is beautiful; the ratchet mechanism is flawlessly smooth; and gets lots of compliments. I am so into ratchet straps, including this one, that one of these weekends I plan to empty my closet of all the old-fashioned straps and just leave the ratchet straps behind. The ratchet feature is especially useful if, like me, you're losing weight or maybe gaining weight. Highly recommended.
