The skirt can be worn if you want to wear an elegant or unbuttoned dress. Love that the waist is really nice (thin gold strap) and not like some other brands where the strap is pulled together. I wore this when I was 7 months pregnant so I weighed about 120 pounds. It fits perfectly and I'm sure it will fit well after delivery. In general, the skirt is of excellent quality. It kept me warm even in 40 degree weather because it was long enough to cover most of my legs. I'm 5ft 6.5" and the length (minus my growing belly) was perfect.
