Review on 🔧 Bilstein (24-187428) 46mm Monotube Shock Absorber: Unmatched Quality and Performance by Jeff Jordan

I chose this shock after reading rave reviews from others and am very happy with my purchase. Everything-Aftermarket had the lowest price (slightly cheaper than Rock Auto) and they showed up at my door a few days earlier than expected, despite the snowstorm that was raging at the time. I replaced the stock shocks on my 2003 Extended Cab S10 (4.3) at 165,000 miles and couldn't be happier with the dramatic improvement in drivability. The 4600 series shocks have slightly stiffer valving than the factory ones, but they're good for this truck and the bumpy, twisty roads here. can be easily installed incorrectly if care is not taken. Plan a few hours if you're a DIY enthusiast, especially if you live up north and have rust to contend with. I ended up having to snap off the top nut when removing one of my old shocks and the lack of access exacerbates the problem. I might end up buying two more for the back, although I'm not sure how much of a difference that would make.
