Review on 💡 Simple Designs LT2009-OFF Mini Egg Oval Ceramic Table Lamp: Elegant Off-White Illumination by Brenda Perry

I bought three of these lights in 2015 for the rarely used guest rooms in our house. They are tiny, just what I wanted, fit perfectly in places where I need a small lamp and look very classy. However, the compliments end there. The lampshade is held by a lightbulb - you put the lampshade on and then screw in the lightbulb. They take special small bulbs with a small base, like flame chandeliers but shorter and rounder, which I ordered when I bought the lamps as someone mentioned. These bulbs aren't very powerful, and the lampshade is so loose that if you touch it, it will fly off the base and hit the bulb. This caused the bulb to detach from the base so the light doesn't work and is also somewhat dangerous. In the 3 years that I have had these lamps, all 3 have had this problem at least once and they are in rooms that are only used 3-4 times a year. I've now moved on to regular flame shaped sturdy lamps that protrude a little from the top of the lampshade but seem to be able to withstand impacts through the lampshade better. I'm considering replacing them entirely, it's too much hassle and the bulbs aren't cheap! Choose wise.
