I bought this phone because I have pay as you go plans and didn't want to pay a ton for a newly released phone. All in all, it pretty much does what you'd expect. The camera leaves a lot to be desired, but is otherwise quite functional. This is a good middle ground between very cheap phones and the newest ones. However, my last phone was a lot cheaper (around $80) and in many ways performed the same. So if you're not too bothered by lots of apps, a cheaper model might better suit your needs.
