So it took me a while to use the new filter because I wanted to use all my paper filters first before switching to the basket filter. At first I really liked this filter. So easy to use and clean. I work night shift as a nurse so I only make coffee before work (3 times a week). However, after about a month of use, the wire mesh detached from the plastic base, leaving the coffee grounds on the bottom of the coffee pot. I have not treated the basket roughly or bent it in any way. I still have the basket and will try to fit it back into the frame if it turns up, but will end up buying another one from the real Mr Coffee company.
