I've had this collar for about two months now and it's by far the best purchase I've ever made. My girlfriend and I enjoy walking our dog off-leash on our local nature trail. She is a dog and easily distracted when something catches her attention to the point where when we told her to come back she completely ignored us. We were both desperate, so I began a thorough search for a collar. We do NOT shock them. We only use vibration. I am absolutely amazed at how this collar turned her around. All it took was a warning vibration and she never looked back. That calms us both down. The collar is definitely waterproof. We have taken our dog off the leash almost every time (so at least 4 times a week) to the river that flows in our park and we have had no problems with the collar malfunctioning. And trust me, my girl runs as fast as she can and throws herself into the deepest spot she can find. About two weeks after we started this, we met a woman in the park who had lost her dog and was desperately looking for it. After promising we could keep an eye out, my girlfriend and I looked at each other and said how grateful we are for this peace of mind with this product. If the collar has been worn for more than 15-24 hours, the instructions will include a warning that it should not be worn for more than 12 consecutive hours. If you are looking for a 24/7 behavior collar then this product is not for you. And for all the reviewers who claim their dog was burned when they electrocuted them by dunking them in water, please use your common sense: electricity and water don't mix.
