When I bought this wallet I was using a regular (non-foldable) wallet with a front pocket and a spring loaded money clip. The reason I wanted something different was because I was tired of having problems with another type of wallet - pockets expand and cards start to loosen and fall out, material around the spring clip wears out and lays sharp ones Free edges that cut my fingers when I reach into my pocket. This wallet seems to solve those problems for me. It's a bit thicker because it can be folded, but I'm willing to deal with it if I get the benefits of no sharp edges and less chance of credit cards and other cards falling out over time. The internal money clips take a little getting used to, but they hold money very well and fold out for easy use. I also like the transparent front screen so I don't have to pull my permissions out anymore.
