I used to use electronic collars, older ones that only have sound and shock. I bought this collar to use as a training tool to reinforce what I am teaching my dog. Shipping was fast, I received several emails from the company to make sure I was happy with the product, to remind me they have a 5 year guarantee, the email includes more training tips and they also contain their customers. I've had great luck with this collar, it was easy to set up. , the instructions are very clear, nothing is confusing how to set up the collar. I use this collar, I use sonic or static stimulation and when my dog walks away from me I press the appropriate button and say to Schultz come on, as soon as he comes towards me I tell him good boy and take my finger off the button, when he comes to me I give him great importance and treat him (he ignored us when we told him jump up, as soon as he starts jumping up I'll push the button and tell him Schultz interrupts, he'll listen to something immediately, what i hate is that he grabs my legs when i walk, i use shock on 5 for that and i tell him no, as soon as he goes behind my legs he plays but that is unacceptable behavior and he stops. after A noticeable improvement after a week, it's not a panacea, but, tool, you still need to spend time with your dog, work with him/her to get the behavior you want and get rid of the unwanted behavior Used brightly. Like the hand book says keep your workout short and IMHO IMHO end on a positive note. This collar is waterproof, my dog has swum in the collar a few times and it still works exactly as intended. My ONLY complaint: I hate the strap, I would happily pay a little more for a nylon strap which would make it much easier to put on and take off and I feel like when I put it on the strap stretches a bit and I have to adjust again. Overall this is a great training tool but make sure you are fair to your dog and WORK with the collar, don't just put the collar on and expect it to suddenly turn your dog into an angel.
