I'm not crazy about the solid bar but to be honest my hair *really* loves this bar. Hair looks really clean after a good mousse, but my *personal* advice is to definitely use a good conditioner if you have long hair like me. Mine is chemically treated so it's a must. But since using this shampoo I have noticed MUCH LESS hair fall in the shower and it seems like my (natural) curls have become a lot more defined since using this shampoo. After a month of regular use, the bar was still a really good size; Mind you, I only wash my hair a few times a week. Now, after almost 3 months of regular use, the bar is just under half its original size when new. So it's safe to say that for a person with long hair this will last 3-4 months depending on how often you wash your hair. Maybe longer? Mine still has a way to go before completion. Although it seems expensive, it *lasts* quite a long time. I gave 4 stars because I really think my hair responded positively to it. Again, not crazy about the bar, because. need to foam, but. I understand. This is the nature of the product. The more you use it, the easier it becomes. Although it does NOT have a real smell, I would like a pleasant smell. But I wear conditioner, so it really doesn't matter. In my opinion? Its worth it! :)
