Review on πŸ”‘ Keyless Remote Fob Key Shell Case Replacement Compatible with Chevrolet Equinox Orlando Sonic GMC Terrain OHT01060512 5461A-01060512 by Brett Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It seems to work, but still needs to be tested on the machine.

My wife and I bought a used car. It came with two key fobs and as the main driver of this car she kept the best one. The one I received was serviceable, but the button emblems were almost non-existent due to usage. I have decided to buy a new key from a locksmith or retailer. After researching how much it would cost and if it would be easy to do in an hour or so, I found I could just take this empty scabbard and move the blade and electrics there. To be honest it was pretty easy. The hardest part was opening the old key fob without damaging the circuitry. It also seems that the manufacturers stick them on so well that it's almost impossible to open them without damaging the old key fob. But it came apart easily enough to pull out everything I needed. The new key fob has accommodated the key blade and circuit board well, and the buttons make a nice positive click when pressed. I can't fully test it as my wife is still working with the car. I make this assessment pending tests on the car itself. But so far things are looking promising. (Edit) I can confirm that everything works fine, all buttons work as expected. My wife is now taking one as a spare, although it is in much better condition. Rating increased to 5 stars.
