It is much easier to tighten the belt than to loosen it.
The belt appears to be of good quality. I really don't like the way the buckle opens the belt. Sometimes you have to squeeze the lever pretty hard. I have another slider strap from another manufacturer that opens itself by simply pulling the buckle.
