First let me say that this is a good case. Looks strong and will last a while. However, here is the reason for the 3 stars. It is said to hold 36 CDs or DVDs. Actually there are pockets for 40. I only have 34 now and as you can see in the picture it barely closes. If I tried to add 6 more CDs I don't think it would close. There just wasn't enough room for the CDs. Just note that this suitcase is too big for your pants. He wants to fit a lot in, but he just doesn't have the space. Another issue was that the bags themselves had small parts that had to be removed during assembly but were still attached. Not a big problem, I just removed them when I filled the suitcase. But it's a bit annoying and messy. Again, this may not be an issue in all cases, but it definitely was in my case.
