I have a Dovo straight razor. Due to my own mistakes, I dulled the blade. Then I bought 6000, 8000 and 10000 grit sanders and realized the less pressure the better. I learned that the core and the edge of the blade are in the same plane. I recognized the polished bay that made the blade beautiful but also weak. If you use too much force, you can bend the blade and pull the tip away from the surface. It took a lot of effort to get the blade back, but it's something that needs to be done. Little or no pressure, first one side then the other moves towards the sharp edge. One night I came to while watching TV. Now after deleting if I make the slightest mistake I get a nickname. Ideal. If I'm not wrong I get baby soft skin that lasts 2 days. It's worth your money and time. By the way, this is a really beautiful stone. Flat, smooth, big enough to sharpen a razor. It arrived quickly. I'm happy. I don't think I would buy it again because it will outlive me and you.
