Terrible, DO NOT BUY.
That was the horror. I bought them for my daughter for Christmas. She was so happy and excited as was I. I was impressed that they came with batteries which was a plus. But gosh, those walkie-talkies were awful. I mean, we were next to each other and didn't hear anything. We kept trying and still heard nothing. All you can do here is static white noise. I was very disappointed as was my 6 year old. Don't buy this, it's a waste of money.
