After a recent move I found myself in a drab, dark office. Depressing, sure, but it also started giving me a headache after staring at computer screens in mild darkness for 9 hours a day. This lamp makes it possible! I pointed it at an angle towards my two monitors. It provides a very bright yet fairly natural light that I can easily work with without distorting the colors or resolution of my monitors (note that my monitors have matte screens - you need to be careful if your screens are glossy, of course , since glare would be a problem ). I often don't even realize it's on due to the natural quality of the light, but once it's off you can see the difference! The ball head works great at all angles - mine is pretty crooked and I don't have one. any trouble keeping it in place.
