Original review: A 75w incandescent bulb was used as the load and it failed repeatedly. I bought this for camping use to power my 45w APAP machine. .Although it shouldn't be overheating, this error was the cause, but the cooling fans never turned on. Ordered a replacement to clear my doubts. Will be updated after the replacement is tested. New review: I asked for a replacement as sometimes there are problems. I received it quickly. This is a nice looking product that looks like a Duracell battery. I hooked it up to a pair of 6 volt solar cells in series for a few hours and it worked great, powering a 75 watt lightbulb. I believe my previous test could have been related to a low battery causing the inverter to shut down due to low voltage rather than overheating. I took the device on a hike this week to power my APAP device, phones and other USB devices, it worked great. I was very happy with his work. If you read other bad reviews, it's possible that their problems aren't related to the device. An inductive load will overload and shut down the inverter. When you turn it back on, it will start working for the approved purposes immediately. Check it out, great price, looks good and works great for me.
